Abstract
1. In vitro inhibitory effect of promazine hydrochloride on the myometrium from the uteri of pregnant and nonpregnant patients has been confirmed.2. In vivo promazine also decreases uterine activity, the changes being in the amplitude and frequency of the contractions. No change in tonus was noted.
