Abstract
The in vitro activity of quinolone antibacterial agents against anaerobic bacteria has recently been reviewed[ll and has been shown to be generally moderate to poor_ In the present investigation, the in vitro activity of 2 new quinolones, BAY Y 3118 and tosufloxacin, against anaerobic organisms was determined and compared with those of 2 older quinolones, ciprofloxacin and ofloxacin, against clinical isolates.
