Abstract

ABSTRACT This article profiles the African American Christian collections of Howard University's Moorland Spingarn Research Center. The author develops the profile in three sections: first, a brief history of the Moorland Spingarn Research Center, second, an overview of the record types held in manuscript division of interest to scholars, researchers, and librarians documenting the African American Christian experience, and third, an argument for the importance of locating and preserving African American religious history.
