Abstract
The subject commission on physical education is made up of representatives from the departments of the theory of physical education in major specialized higher schools of the country — the State Central Order of Lenin Institute for Physical Culture and the Moscow (N. K. Krupskaya) Region Teacher Training Institute — the Central Scientific-Research Institute for Physical Culture, the Institute of Age Physiology and Physical Education of the RSFSR Academy of Pedagogical Sciences, the Central Council of the Union of Athletic Societies and Organizations of the USSR, the Ministry of Education of the RSFSR, and from a number of teacher training schools. Some of the leading teachers and methodologists in physical culture are also participating in the commission, which is headed by A. A. Markosian, a Member of the RSFSR Academy of Pedagogical Sciences.
