Morris Columbia University Rosalind C. Morris is professor of anthropology at Columbia University, where she has taught since 1994. Her most recent books are Photographies East: The Camera and Its Histories in East and Southeast Asia and Can the Subaltern Speak: Reflections on the History of an Idea. She has written widely on questions of representation, translation, media, and modernity in the global south, particularly in South Africa and Southeast Asia. A collection of essays entitled Wars I Have (Not) Seen will be published by Seagull Books in 2012.
