Abstract
This work is a personal account by a junior member of the former Egyptian royal family, of life before 1952 and of the people within Egypt's ruling class. The author offers insights into the lives of Muhammad Ali and King Farouk, and the lives of the royal wives, cousins, aunts and associates. It is an evocative account of a time and a social class that no longer exist.
