Abstract
Research Article| August 01 2014 In the Classroom Mary Quade Mary Quade Mary Quade is the author of the poetry collection Guide to Native Beasts (Cleveland State University Poetry Center). Her essays have appeared recently in Grist, Flyway: Journal of Writing and Environment, Fifth Wednesday Journal, Creative Nonfiction, Confrontation, and West Branch. Her work was chosen as a Notable Essay in Best American Essays 2013. In 2014, she received an Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award for prose. She teaches at Hiram College.
