Abstract

An in-situ method to determine the fractal dimension of diffusion grown agglomerates is reported. This technique is based on the combination of a DMA, a CNC and an ICP-AES apparatus. For silver agglomerates produced by spark discharge the fractal dimension was 2.19 ± 0.16 and for silver agglomerates formed by heating in an HF coil the fractal dimension was 2.60 ± 0.17.
