Abstract

In-situ observations of domain walls in an electric field applied along the [111]c direction in BaTiO3 have been carried out. All of the observed domain walls could be assigned to the 90 and 180° domain walls in the tetragonal phase. No charged domain wall was observed. The obliquely crossed stripe pattern has been found to appear as a result of back switching after removing the electric field.
