Abstract

Li–Air Batteries In article number 2101884, Gustavo Doubek and co-workers report the use of multi-scale FTIR (Micro-Nano) to track the chemical evolution and inhomogeneities of Li–Air batteries under a realistic atmosphere. The study combines Synchrotron Infrared Nano-Spectroscopy over distinct spots in the electrode with micro-sized FTIR showing high sensitivity for chemical changes, highlighting a decoupling of composition with discharge rate and a fast electrolyte degradation process.
