Abstract

Recently in <i>Chem Catalysis</i>, He and co-workers proposed the efficient conversion of methane to methanol under moderate conditions via the active O species <i>in situ</i> generated from photo-splitting of H<sub>2</sub>O over Co-SrTiO<sub>3</sub> tandem catalysts. Using characterization techniques, the authors determined the intermediates and mechanism of the reaction.
