Abstract

This paper investigates the needs for tourism innovation in the context of tourist circuit development in North East India. A review was made to map out the tourism innovation in the context of international, domestic, and rural destination in North East India. This paper presents a hypothetical theoretical model of research indicating the dimensions of tourism product innovation and quality issues for emerging north east Indian tourist economy based on the Indian ethos. The result of this textual investigation presents a background for furthering empirical investigation in the context of North East India.
