Abstract

We appreciate the detailed anatomic review of the major pelvic vessels provided by Dr. Rubin. Our nodal clinical target volume (CTV) is designed based on a practical application of anatomy into radiation treatment planning. It includes data on positive nodes obtained from real patients and acknowledges the limits of computed tomography or magnetic resonance (MR) without angiography to define smaller vessels. Defining the anterior division of the iliac vessels is difficult; defining the obturator artery is harder still.
