Abstract

Beringer, Biel, Ziegler, and Lai are quite correct in their calculations and conclusions about the low frequency of seizures compared with frequency of asthma attacks as a chronic condition in our population. One seizure episode occurred during the study period. In addition, two children were receiving antiseizure medication on a regular basis, thereby qualifying as maintenance episodes. The purpose of our study was to identify types of health care problems rather than investigate in depth care issues for specific chronic conditions.
