We congratulate the Australian/New Zealand radiation oncologists on their survey and their remarkably high survey response rate (3). Both the similarities and differences are interesting, and the experience of our Australian colleagues likely holds valuable lessons on how to optimize survey response. Because our finding of burnout as a significant issue among United States radiation oncology professionals, the American Society for Radiation Oncology Workforce Committee is planning a more in-depth study of this topic.
