Abstract

Angular and temperature dependences of the resistivity have been measured in the ab-plane on the sample of La 2− x Sr x CuO 4 with x=0.18. In the ab-plane a clear anisotropy is observed which is represented as the summation of the twofold and fourfold symmetries. We conclude that the fourfold anisotropy comes from the energy gap by the d-wave pairing with d x 2− y 2 character.
