Abstract
A Novel algorithm for in-place computation of Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and its inverse (IDWT), suitable for real-time and adaptive processing, is presented. The scheme presented here, reduces the memory requirement and latency of the filter bank algorithm by incorporating the principle of block convolution into DWT computation.
