Abstract
Harold “Hal” Goble, cofounder of Rumbles and an active member of the AWWA Rocky Mountain Section (RMSAWWA), passed away May 12, 2012. He became an AWWA member in 1955 and was involved with the Rocky Mountain Section. Goble was also chair of the AWWA Building Committee, which helped establish the funding and building of AWWA headquarters in Denver. He and other RMSAWWA leaders are credited with helping to convince AWWA to relocate its headquarters from New York City to Denver. He is also credited with helping AWWA purchase land from Denver Water. He was granted one of the highest honors a section and AWWA can present to a member: a Fuller Award in 1974.
