Abstract

It saddens us to share with our community the news that Dr. N. Scott McNutt has passed away, following a long battle with a degenerative cognitive disease. He was well known for his academic productivity with more than 120 citations in Index Medicus. His works continue to be widely cited. Many of us continue to cite them as classics, despite the proliferation of new manuscripts. More importantly, those of us who knew him pass along his thoughts in our daily professional lives. Scott exerted further influence on our specialty with his enduring service to the American Society of Dermatopathology (ASDP). He was always involved in committees and spent a year as President, and a stint as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Cutaneous Pathology from 1995-1999. This article is protected by copyright.
