Abstract
On Monday, January 4, 2016, the Peruvian psychologist Ernesto Pollitt died in Lima at the age of 77. His work and his memory, however, remain with us. Ernesto Pollitt has dedicated 40 years of his life to investigating the consequences of malnutrition on the psychological development of children in various parts of the world, including Peru. His work has opened new lines of research in the country and the world, and has promoted the implementation of various social aid programs in Peru.
