Abstract

Recently, a 67-year-old man, who appeared well educated and knowledgeableabout his health care, arrived at the emergency department(ED) with hypotension, tachycardia, gray vision, and lightheadedness.The patient's EKG showed an abnormal sinus rhythm resembling atrialfibrillation. The patient's cardiologist recommended starting him ondigoxin and increasing his current metoprolol dose.
