His current book project, “Practicing Assemblage,” draws on Deleuzian philosophy and post-process composition scholarship to devise new approaches to teaching advanced writing. He has also written on power dynamics, empathy, and performativity in writing classrooms; science fiction; and early twentieth-century American literature. In 2020 he co-organized the CCCC Regional Conference “Building Diverse Communities through Writing” held at the University of Southern California.
