Abstract
The spatial distribution of lead impurity ions in AgBr single crystals has been determined with ion scattering spectroscopy. AgBr crystals containing three different concentrations of lead and with two surface orientations have been examined. The experimental results are found to be consistent with the impurity distribution curves predicted by the ionic space charge model but alternative models should also be considered.
