Abstract
Evolutionary approach to electromagnetics is used to study the properties of impulse radiation from the circular aperture of uniformly distributed electrical current with arbitrary time dependence. Closed form of transient response of the source is obtained in time domain. The Duhamel integral is used to obtain the amplitudes of radiated field for arbitrary time dependence of the excitation. Directivity of the radiation is estimated by the spatial energy distribution analysis.
