Abstract

This article examines the main stages in the implementation of measures being taken to introduce modern technologies for the use of ladle refractories in steel production. The adoption of such measures is necessary in light of the continuing tightening of requirements on the quality of steels and changes to the methods used for the production, out-of-furnace treatment, and casting of steel in open-hearth and electric steelmaking shops.
