Abstract
The materials here reviewed comprise the major products of the ASA Section on Undergraduate Education and the ASA Project on Teaching Undergraduate Sociology. Initiated and nurtured by the ASA Council, both these bodies have enjoyed additional support from the Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education and from the Lilly Endowment. As regular readers of this journal are aware, the Section and the Project have addressed a wide range of issues, from curriculum to teacher development to strategies for enhancing institutional support. Two pioneering participants in the Section and Project have formulated their major objectives as follows:
