Abstract

The legal and organizational conditions for the functioning of various forms of ownership and business management have been created in the agro-industrial complex [AIC] over the seven years of implementation of socioeconomic transformations. However, the results of the activity of the agrarian sector show that gross product volume dropped by almost a third in 1991-98 compared to 1990. More than 70 percent of the enterprises in the AIC have become unprofitable, and are unable to accumulate the resources not only for expanded reproduction but even for routine production activity.
