Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of class I students of SPF-SDN Candigaron 02 in the mathematics subject on addition. This is because the teacher is less precise in using learning media. Therefore, researchers use audio-visual media in learning Mathematics. This study aims to describe the planning, implementation, improvement of student learning outcomes in learning Mathematics using audio-visual media in class I SPF-SDN Candigaron 02. The type of research used is classroom action research (PTK). This study used a quantitative and qualitative approach consisting of two cycles covering four stages, namely planning, action, observation and reflection with the research object of class I SPF-SDN Candigaron 02. The instruments used were teacher activity observation sheets, student activity sheets and test results of learning (questions posttest). The technique for analyzing the data in this study is a descriptive test. The results showed that the use of audio-visual media can improve learning outcomes in Mathematics learning for class I SPF-SDN Candigaron 02 students. It can be seen from the learning outcomes of students in cycle I showing the percentage of complete learning outcomes was 53.33% while in cycle II it increased to 80%. Thus, there was a significant increase in the mathematics learning outcomes of class I SPF-SDN Candigaron 02 students using audio-visual learning media
