Abstract

This article showcases the application of the Six Sigma methodology, supported by other tools of Industrial Engineering, within a sector of the secondary industry, for the transformation process of various products in a coffee company. The goal was to determine the root cause of low productivity within this coffee-producing organization. Additionally, a plan of strategies and implementation of engineering techniques was designed to facilitate and improve the established processes, but above all, to increase productivity rates and the results achieved in this company over nearly four generations dedicated to coffee cultivation and processing.
