Abstract

The Communist Party and the Soviet Government pay much attention to training specialists in correspondence and evening technical secondary and higher schools. In his reports N. S. Khrushchev has repeatedly referred to the major importance of training specialists without their discontinuing productive activities. At the May 1960 Session of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR a number of deputies emphasized the need for further extending the network of correspondence and evening educational establishments in the country, since the introduction of a shorter working day created favorable conditions for all working people to raise their skills.
