Abstract

ABSTRACT Economic success in forestry is largely dependent on good information. Information is a costly resource and it is obvious that the gathering, processing and communication of data should be well organised. Improvement in the organisation of information processes in forestry can be achieved in three ways: by defining the needs for as well as the sources of information, by using suitable methods of data condensing and by delegating information work.
