Improving Construction Methods: A Story about Quality

Abstract

The composite experiences of 20 construction companies are blended into a tale of fictitious construction company that decides to use Total Quality Management in both its corporate and job site practices. The principles of teamwork, employee input and partnering are explained, along with a discussion of how they can reduce rework, resolve problems, claims and disputes, speed up project delivery time and increase a company’s profitability.
