Abstract

This article reports the results of a remedial program in computation which was conducted by Ora Hanna in her own seventhgrade classroom in the public schools of Cedarville, Ohio. The work was undertaken as a field project in connection with an extension course in diagnostic testing and remedial teaching in which Miss Hanna was enrolled. This course was sponsored by Miami University and was conducted by the writer. The program extended over a period of twelve weeks and utilized only a part of the time allotted to arithmetic in the daily schedule. The actual time devoted to remedial work did not exceed twelve hours.
