Abstract

Better precision and accuracy for O 2 and CO 2 determination in whole blood can be obtained by modifying some of the reagents and of the techniques generally in use with the Natelson Microgasometer. No incomplete extraction of oxygen from whole blood was observed with the modified technique. Good correlation was obtained in comparing this technique with the classical Van Slyke manometric method.
