Abstract

Wireless Ad Hoc network is a multi-hop, temporary, equivalent autonomy system, which consists of a set of mobile nodes with wireless transceiver. Due to the widely applications in military communications, emergency rescue, sensor network and other communication situations, wireless Ad Hoc network has become the current research hotspot. AODV routing protocol within wireless Ad Hoc network appears some function defects when the network topological structure changed. This paper proposes an improved AODV routing protocol called M_EAODV, by setting multiple backup route to reduce link repair. Simulation results show that the packets transmitting, average end-to-end delay and routing overhead in M_EAODV are improved effectively. M_EAODV can correctly use other backup route when the route link breaks, so that it is more suitable for the network environment with fast-changed topology structure.
