Abstract
A conical baffle carrying a non-regular slit, shaped to fit the different focus spots of the individual gaps on the conical surface, was used to improve the parameters of the spectrometer. As optimal figures 1·5% resolution at 2·1% transmission or 2·3% resolution at 3·9% transmission were obtained.
