Abstract
The article proposes a new design of an electric test stand, which allows most of the existing methods for cold and hot running of small-sized tractor engines with power up to 16 kW. Distinctive features of the developed stand are ease of implementation, low cost, high-energy efficiency, reliability and a wide range of speed and load torque control of the tested engine. The studies showed that the test electric running-in/brake stand with high accuracy allows you to control the following parameters: crankshaft rotation speed (error not more than 1%), pressure in the lubrication system (error not more than 4%), load moment (error not more than 1.5%), the power developed by the engine (error not more than 2.5%) and fuel consumption (error not more than 1%). As a loading device, a squirrel-cage induction motor is used, controlled by a two-link frequency converter with an active rectifier in the sensorless vector control mode.
