Abstract

Query-driven State Merging (QSM) algorithm extends the Regular Positive and Negative Inference (RPNI) and Blue-Fringe algorithms by allowing membership queries to be submitted to the oracle. In this paper, further constrains state merging operations by detecting loop structure in automation induction process and proves this improvement could make QSM algorithm get more accurate results. Furthermore, applies the improved QSM algorithm to the application of protocol model induction, and experiments demonstrate that 1. QSM algorithm is also efficient in protocol model induction besides software model induction, 2. QSM is better than any other methods in this research area.
