Abstract
A series of experiments was conducted in the greenhouse and in the field. Centro and puero were treated with or without vesicular-arbuscular mycorrhiza (VAM) inoculation and were fertilized with rock phosphate. The P uptake of puero was higher han centro. Treatments with rock phosphate and VAM increased P uptake of the forage legumes 22 times higher than without VAM in a greenhouse experiment. However, P uptakes of the forage legumes with and without VAM inoculation were not significantly different at the same levels of rock phosphate in a field experiment.
