Abstract

Parallel batch units, which discharge to an intermediate buffer tank and a continuous processing unit, are considered. Minimization theories of the cost of the subsequent part, which determine intervals between beginnings of regular repetitions of batch operations, were established. In this paper, a margin of capability of the subsequent part is taken into account. Its utilization to give tolerance of the starting moments of the batch units is examined. Results give n allowable amount of delay or advance of the starting moment of a cycle of batch operation.
