Abstract
A case study on improvement of hydrogeological models (HM) is reported where HM of Latvia LAMO is considered. HM has been developed in 2010 – 2012 by scientists of Riga Technical University (RTU). LAMO has generalized geological and hydrogeological information that has been accumulated by the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre (LEGMC). In 2013 – 2014, LAMO has been considerably upgraded. Due to these upgrades, large amount of real hydrogeological and geological data has been added that have increased credibility of LAMO results. Essence of the main innovations is described and the next improvements of HM are considered. The case of LAMO improvement may be of interest for developers of large and complex hydrogeological models.
