Abstract

Abstract. The existence of UMKM cannot be eliminated or avoided in today's Indonesian society. Because its existence is very useful in terms of the distribution of community income. Besides that, it is also able to create creativity that is in line with efforts to maintain and develop elements of tradition and culture in the local community. On the other hand, UMKM is able to absorb labor on a large scale considering the large population of Indonesia, which can reduce the unemployment rate. Zarima Cake & Cookies is one of the SMEs located in the Mejing Wetan hamlet that is engaged in the culinary field of cakes and light snacks. UMKM Zarima Cake & Cookies was established in 2014, starting with the production of small cakes. Until now, this UMKM has been able to produce several types of cakes, such as steamed brownies, baked brownies, party cakes, pastries, and other types of snacks. The Zarima Cake & Cookies business has survived until now, even though it has been hit by COVID-19, which has been endemic since 2020. Zarima Cake & Cookies is assisted by three employees who work freelance for large orders. The problems faced by partners include limited production equipment, especially in the production of steamed brownies, resulting in a slow production process, especially if there are a lot of orders, a lack of production staff, and less than optimal promotions. With the problems that have been described, here the community service team tries to help provide solutions by procuring production equipment, promotional workshops, facility maintenance training, and knowledge of K3.
