Abstract
The paper considers the road transportation sector in the context of the negative impacts of the global economic and financial crises on the environment. The ecology-oriented development of the road construction, road repair and maintenance are described herein. The promising research and innovation development in Siberia includes the ways to increase the stability of asphalt concrete pavements, studying the possibilities of waste utilization produced by the local industrial enterprises (for example, stillage residues of the chemical industry) for the road asphalt modification; replacement of rock materials used in the upper and lower layers of the pavement coatings by by-passed stone, utilization of plastics scrap and rubber in polymer modification.

Summary
The paper considers the road transportation sector in the context of the negative impacts of the global economic and financial crises on the environment. Термин «экологическая безопасность автомобильной дороги» (далее ЭБ АД), согласно [1], включает в себя защищенность природы и социума от воздействия автомобильной дороги на всех этапах ее жизненного цикла: строительства, реконструкции, эксплуатации, содержания и ремонта. Лукашевич те «Экологическая безопасность автомобильной дороги: понятие и количественная оценка» [1] даны подробные рекомендации, касающиеся выполнения работ по строительству, ремонту, эксплуатации автомобильных дорог, охарактеризованы планирование и реализация мероприятий, направленных на обеспечение экологической безопасности и минимизацию негативного воздействия на окружающую среду. Совокупность эколого-ориентированных мероприятий для дорожного строительства, согласно действующей нормативной документации, включает:. Научно-техническая литература по удешевлению строительства и повышению надежности и долговечности автомобильных дорог за счет использования при строительстве инженерных сооружений крупнотоннажных промышленных отходов достаточно обширна. При этом достигается решение экологической и технической проблем: утилизация отходов искусственных волокон и пластмасс и одновременно повышение долговечности и надежности дорожного покрытия.
