Abstract
Here, we incorporated different organic interfacial layers in P3HT:PC6iBM based solar cells, namely, Alq3, BPhen and BCP with Al cathode and there photovoltaic performances were investigated and compared with the conventional structure. It was observed that the device with ITO/PEDOT: PSS/P3HT:PC 61 BM/BCP/Al configuration showing the best performance having PCE, η=4.5% with J sc =12.67 mA/cm2, V oc = 0.58 V and FF=62% compared to the other due to the better hole-blocking capacity of BCP/Al with the active layer. These results systematically explain the role and contribution of different organic interfacial layers to the PCE and the overall device performance of P3HT:PC 61 BM based BHJ solar cell.
