Abstract

The effects of content of Zr on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Al-Mn alloy were studied. The results showed that the grain size decreases with the increase of Zr content. With the addition of Zr, the number of primary particles increases, and the content of Mn in solid solution decreases. Tensile testing results show that with the increase of Zr content, the tensile strength and yield strength increased in Al-Mn alloy. The elongation of the recrystallized alloys does not change significantly with the Zr content.
