Abstract

Rationale: The prevalence of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D) is high and linked with poor prognosis. We aimed to investigate the effect on the presence and severity of NAFLD in obese Chinese patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D) following telephone lifestyle reinforcement (TLR), bariatric surgery (BS), or usual care (UC) after one year of intervention.
