Abstract
Electrochemical performance of spray deposited vanadium oxide (V2O5) thin film electrode before and after anodization of the film was studied. XRD pattern revealed that,V2O5 thin film was polycrystalline and SEM of anodised film revealed increase in porosity. Increase in surface wet ability was observed after anodizition. The specific capacitance of V2O5 thin film electrode in 0.5M K2SO4 electrolyte at scan rate of 10 mV/s increased after anodization from 272.37 F/g to 421.21 F/g, specific energy and specific power increased from 19.19 Wh/kg to 24.92Wh/kg and 15.08 kW/kg to 17.32 kW/kg respectively.
