Abstract

The electrical stability of (Mn 1.2Ni 0.78Co 0.87− x Cu 0.15Si x )O 4 (0⩽ x⩽0.15) negative temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistors was studied by measuring the relative resistance change. The resistance change of the thermistors was significantly decreased by the addition of SiO 2. It is proposed that the addition of SiO 2 is desirable to achieve stable NTC thermistors.
