Abstract
The power generation characteristics of the DFAFC in which anode were fabricated different method, ultrasonic spray method and deposit method were compared by measuring the overpotentials of the anode and the cathode, individually. The highest performance was obtained when anode catalyst layer was fabricated by ultrasonic spray method since the overpotential of the anode electrode fabricated by ultrasonic spray method was lower than that fabricated by deposit method. From the overpotential measurements, it was found that the anode overpotential could be reduced when the anode electrode was fabricated by ultrasonic spray due to the thin anode catalyst layer. From these results, it is considered that the ultrasonic spray is suitable as the fabrication of anode catalyst layer of the DFAFC.
