Abstract
Through studies and research, which were carried out within this paper, one tried to relieve the necessity to develop and manage the territory taken in discussion, from point of view of its valorification through forest crops. Forest-tree planting of the degraded land exerts an important multifunctional role in environment improvement, pollution abatement, conservation of water resources and combating soil erosion. One studied in details all physical, economical and social causes that leaded to the degradation of these lands. In addition, one inventorized all degraded lands; the inventory was made using simple measurements with different expeditious means. The perimeter is located in the Transylvanian plateau, Cluj county, on the effective area of Livada locality, precisely the land improvement of Livada, with an area of 11, 4 ha, is located on the left side of the Mare brook.
